Intelligent Document Processing with AI

Manual document processing is slow, error-prone, and costly. Accelara AI's intelligent document processing (IDP) platform uses computer vision, NLP, and machine learning to automatically extract data, classify documents, and automate workflows:cutting processing time and improving extraction accuracy, with human review on anything the system isn't confident about.

Automate Your Document Workflows

Stop manual data entry. Our AI document processing extracts, classifies, and validates documents automatically, with low-confidence cases routed to a human.

AI Document Processing Capabilities

Intelligent Document Classification: AI automatically categorizes documents by type (invoices, contracts, forms, reports)
Data Extraction: OCR and NLP extract structured data from PDFs, scans, images, and handwritten documents
Entity Recognition: Identify and extract entities like dates, amounts, names, addresses, account numbers
Document Validation: ML models validate extracted data against business rules and databases
Table & Form Processing: Extract complex tables, checkboxes, and form fields with high accuracy
Multi-Language Support: Process documents in 100+ languages with OCR and translation

Document Types We Process

Our AI handles all business document types:

Financial Documents: Invoices, receipts, purchase orders, statements, tax forms
Legal Documents: Contracts, agreements, court filings, patents, compliance documents
HR Documents: Resumes, applications, I-9s, benefits forms, performance reviews
Healthcare Documents: Medical records, insurance claims, prescriptions, lab results
Logistics Documents: Bills of lading, customs forms, shipping manifests, delivery receipts

Business Impact

Organizations deploying AI document processing typically see improvements in:

Manual processing time : straight-through processing for documents the system handles confidently
Extraction accuracy : measured against your acceptance thresholds, with corrections fed back to improve the model
Processing cost : fewer manual touches and fewer downstream errors
Turnaround : same-day processing for high-confidence documents instead of manual backlogs
Auditability : full audit trails for compliance and quality control

How it works

Our intelligent document processing pipeline:

Ingestion: Documents arrive via email, upload, API, or scanner integration
Pre-processing: Image enhancement, deskewing, noise reduction for optimal OCR
Classification: AI determines document type and routes to appropriate processor
Extraction: OCR and NLP extract text, tables, and structured data
Validation: Business rules and ML models validate extracted data for accuracy
Human-in-the-Loop: Low-confidence extractions flagged for human review
Integration: Clean data flows to ERP, CRM, accounting, or custom systems

Industry Applications

AI document processing supports these sectors:

Accounts Payable: Automate invoice processing, 3-way matching, approval routing
Insurance: Claims processing, policy administration, underwriting document review
Banking: KYC verification, loan document processing, account opening automation
Healthcare: Patient intake, insurance verification, medical records digitization
Legal: Contract analysis, due diligence document review, case file processing

Production Features

Production intelligent document processing includes:

Security & Compliance: Enterprise security practices aligned with SOC 2 controls : encryption, access controls, and audit logging : and support for your compliance review

Frequently Asked Questions

What types of documents can AI document processing handle?

AI document processing handles all business documents including invoices, contracts, forms, receipts, medical records, legal documents, shipping manifests, and custom templates:in both structured and unstructured formats.

How accurate is AI document processing?

Accuracy depends on document type and quality. We measure extraction accuracy against your acceptance thresholds, route low-confidence cases to human review, and improve the models over time through continuous learning from those corrections.

Can AI process handwritten documents?

Yes, modern AI document processing handles handwritten text through ICR (Intelligent Character Recognition) technology, though accuracy varies based on handwriting legibility. Clear handwriting reads well; low-confidence extractions are routed to a human, so quality stays under your control.

How long does it take to implement AI document processing?

Implementation timelines range from 4-8 weeks for standard document types (invoices, receipts) to 8-12 weeks for complex custom templates requiring model training. POCs can be delivered in 2-3 weeks.
